Tar King Lone village in the city of Hlaingbwe in Myanmar

Earlier hard copy versions of wordless books have also been sent to Tar King Lone Village, Hlaingbwe, in Myanmar to the nursery centre in the region for the teacher to the children. The teacher in charge told us that they shared the books to all the village children because the political climate has prevented all children from attending school and gaining access to education. As part of an activity that the teacher there has created to accommodate the children, they have actually created a “storytelling” activity in which they ask the children to use their imagination to infer what the illustrations in each page of each wordless book is trying to communicate.

This is a video that the teacher there sent of the children describing the images in each story.
